Hints and tips:

- Even if the stage from Lux.-city to Echternach is technically easy, it s a long ride (45 Km) and probably too long for less experienced riders or kids; there are however not many places for overnight stays in the middle of the trail, i.e. in the vicinity of Junglinster - Scheidgen seems to be the only viable option ("Hotel Bon Repos") but it s further down and there are only 10 Km left and they are mostly downhill; Hence it could be interesting to organize a shuttle or to use the bus network.

- Whereas the medieval castle of Beaufort cannot be missed, the rennaissance castle - much younger but still 360 years old - is less well known but certainly worth a visit! The prestigiously furnished interiors as well as the flourishing gardens, the surrounding stables and the distillery are maintained  in the same condition as they used to be when its last owners and residents were still living in the castle.

- There used to be two Hotels in Larochette but both closed. Nowadays there is a modest Auberge (but with no means for storing the bikes) and a small boutique-style guest house ("Villa des Dames") besides the inusable Youth Hostel (I recommend the single small houses for up to 5 people). Book early if you want to stay overnight in Larochette.
